Description
Epifanes Poly-urethane Clear Satin is a hard, scratch-resistant, two-component clear varnish designed to provide a durable, low-sheen finish. Based on acrylic poly-ol, this product offers superior chemical drying performance.
Key Features:
- Maximum Protection: The varnish is highly scratch-resistant and provides superior protection against alcohol and aggressive household chemicals. It also boasts excellent water resistance.
- UV Protection: It includes UV filters to protect the wood against discoloration, making it suitable for both interior and exterior varnish systems.
- Ideal Applications: Due to its hard, protective satin finish, it is ideally suited for use as a finish in a full two-component system on dimensionally stable wood, such as marine plywood. It is excellent for high-wear areas, such as cabin soles (floors) or salon tables.
- Substrate Note: While suitable for exterior and interior use, the technical datasheet advises that always be built up with several high-gloss coats on bare wood. When using it over epoxy resin, a high-gloss varnish is recommended first
